Saks Partners with ‘Empire’
Remember that cheetah-print dress Cookie sported at the Empire office? Or what about that fresh-to-death suit Lucious rocked at the all-white party? If you were inspired by the fashion, you weren’t the only one.
Saks Fifth Avenue is now working on a collection based on the popular Fox show.
The line, which will run from Sept. 10 through Oct. 7, will be available in select stores and on saks.com. An Empire-themed window will also be on display at the New York and Beverly Hills flagships.
“This unprecedented partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue…celebrates Empire’s mark on the fashion world,” Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, said in a statement. “The influence Empire has had on so many aspects of popular culture proves it has the ingredients to become a stand-alone fashion brand.”
In addition to the fancy threads, the series’ showrunner Trai Byers will grace the cover of the Saks men’s magalog. The 272-page book will be available later this fall. Check him out below.
