Rihanna will bring her reality fashion competition “Styled to Rock” to American television after a UK version aired earlier this year.
The hour-long, 10-episode series—which will air on the Style network next year—will give 12 up-and-coming designers the opportunity to design unique fashions for A-list celebrity clients.
“Rihanna is a trailblazer, a trendsetter and the epitome of style,” gushed Salaam Coleman Smith, president of Style Media, in a press release. “She has a powerful and unique point-of-view that transcends every aspect of pop culture, including fashion, and is a leading creative force.”
Each week the 12 designers hand-picked by Rihanna will compete in different challenges as celebrity guests determine which one best achieves their vision.
“Fashion has always played an integral part in my life and career,” the pop star said. “I am so excited to partner with Style Network and share my creative insight with these 12 designers and give them this opportunity to showcase their work.”

Rihanna, who most recently released her seventh studio album “Unapologetic,” is also designing a collection with River Island for their spring/summer 2013 collection.
