UPDATE: Rick Ross Arrested for Kidnapping
UPDATE July 2: Rick Ross has been released from jail after posting a $2 million bond and agreeing to 24-hour GPS monitoring.
How’d he come up with the money? According to TMZ, the 39-year-old used $1 million equity from the Georgia mansion he bought from boxer Evander Holyfield and another property, a $500,000 surety bond from a bail bondsman and $500,000 in cash.
The MMG rapper, along with his body guard, had been held at the Fayette County jail since last week on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery following an altercation with a groundskeeper working on his home.
This must be the week for rappers to get arrested.
Maybach Music rapper Rick Ross is behind bars once again for the second time this month. A pot bust landed the “Touchin’ You” artist behind bars earlier in June, but the most recent offense seems to be way worse.
According to TMZ, U.S. Marshals arrested Ross Wednesday morning in Fayette County, Georgia. He was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery for an incident that happened two weeks ago.
According to Marshals, Ross got into an altercation with a man who was doing work at one of his homes. The assault charge is for pistol-whipping, and the kidnapping charge is for Ross holding the man against his will.
Ross, along with his bodyguard, was arrested without incident.
Two weeks ago, Ross was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana in Fayette County.
