‘RHOA’ Recap: Bye Bye & Bon Voyage

Ride or die? Not so much.

On the season seven premiere of Real Housewives of Atlanta, we see Apollo Nida, husband of Phaedra Parks, preparing for his sentencing … solo.

Apparently Phaedra moved out of their house (with their kids, no less) to escape paparazzi. But let’s be real, she wants absolutely nothing to do with Apollo and his federal fraud charges.

And can you blame her?

It seems as though everyone had an opinion on whether Phaedra should have stood by her man’s side. Fellow RHOA cast member Kandi pointed out that even Hillary Clinton stood by Bill through his affair.

But, as Phaedra points out, it doesn’t exactly appear as though Apollo was thinking about her and his family when he committed those crimes. Touché.

Having recently walked down the aisle, I’m quite familiar with the “for better or worse” part of your vows. And I’d like to think I’d support my husband through thick and thin, but there’s honestly no telling what a person would do until you’re in that situation. Hopefully, I’ll never have to find out…

As for Phaedra, I definitely see her side of the story and I ain’t mad at her. Apollo needs to own up to his actions and stop being such a baby. But should she have taken the kids and pulled a disappearing act? Well, that’s up for debate…

Let’s be real. These two were having marital issues before the fraud case. Does Kenya Moore ring a bell? So it looks as though this pending divorce was a long time coming…
