If you’re starving for another heaping helping of R. Kelly’s epic hip-hopera “Trapped in the Closet,” slip your napkin on your lap and get ready for a feast.

Right around Thanksgiving, Nov. 23 at 9 p.m. ET to be exact, the man known as the “R” in R&B (among other things) will debut the next chapter of his gloriously dysfunctional story on the IFC channel. There will be two new characters in the mix, both played by Kelly: a “kingpin” named Beeno and a therapist who is working with both Rufus and Cathy. Lord knows they need guidance.

But to tide you over until the big reveal, IFC has graciously prepped “Chapter 23,” a brand new mini-installment which recaps some of the earlier antics of Rufus, Sylvester, Twan, and ‘em.

Check it out right here.

Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten much of the detail in this layered soapy saga that started in 2005 and wrapped up in 2007. You can jog your memory with a detailed primer on how this runaway ratchetness got started and evolved into a national pastime.

IFC set up a whole URL ifc.com/trapped/ dedicated to catching you up. We’re talking character descriptions, all the chapters, and wait for it… digitally re-mastered versions. Go on ahead and get trapped for an hour or two. We won’t rat you out to your bosses. They’re probably watching it too.
