Comedian Quincy Jones To Headline HBO Special

When dreams and desires come to fruition it’s a beautiful thing. Comedian Quincy Jones has a lot to smile about these days.

The 32-year-old was diagnosed with terminal cancer in July 2015 and had dreams of doing a stand-up special and well, thanks to Ellen and HBO, that will be happening this April.

Jones moved from Seattle to Los Angeles and performed nearly 1,000 stand-up sets over the course of a year for skill development.

His friend and fellow comedian, Nicole Blaine along with her husband, launched a kickstarter campaign that led to Jones appearing on the Ellen show earlier this month. While there, he spoke of his desire to do a comedy special and today, during his second appearance on Ellen, the good news was delivered.

Watch the excitement unfold below.

The comedy special will be taped at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on April 4 and debut this spring.
