Quincy Combs Banned from Empire?

And no, it’s not because Diddy didn’t want his son to be adversely influenced to rock a Lucious Lyon pompadour.

Page 6 is reporting that Quincy Combs (whom Puff adopted while in a long-term romance with Quincy’s mom, Kim) was all signed up to join the cast of the white-hot hit Empire, which we have written about HERE, but the music mogul didn’t like the terms of the agreement as it pertained to music rights.

Straight from the source:

Stars on the show are subject to music contracts similar to those on other shows like “Glee” or “American Idol,” which propel their players into superstardom. “Empire” features a score curated by hit-maker Timbaland and includes original songs that are sold on iTunes and Spotify.

A source told us: “Diddy kicked up a huge stink and called all the top brass at 20th Century Fox TV to get them to change their rules over music rights,” but he didn’t get his way. “He said there was no way his son was signing over his intellectual property. So he banned him from the show.”

Welp, the outlet is still suggesting Combs could join the cast.  All we ask is that he not be made to do a duet with …  That boy needs to work on his Auto Tune-assisted aresenal.
