‘Queen Sugar’ Star Kofi Siriboe Enters the JETSuite
JETSuite is a monthly artist series that provides an intimate live performance experience from acoustic sets to spoken word to readings and real-time painting.
Kofi Siriboe, the handsome and uber talented actor that portrays Ralph Angel, one-third of the Bordelon siblings on OWN’s hit series Queen Sugar , is an advocate for “ultimate expression” and encourages creatives to utilize their talents as artistic tools to curate change and make an impact.
Through verbal imagery and a slick use of personification, Siriboe’s poetic words express a bittersweet sentiment toward a space he has grown to learn, love and deeply appreciate.
We’ve gotten to know Kof on screen, where he brings the stories of various characters to life, and like his role as Ralph Angel, strength and beauty comes alive in pockets of vulnerability.
In this session of JETSuite, we’re introduced to the man with a story, of his own, to tell.
His love letter, below.
