Prince Day Declared in Minnesota!

The celebratory festivities following the shocking passing of the musical mastermind, known as Prince, continue on June 7.

The date would have marked the icon’s 58th birthday. So instead of just throwing a huge party for the artist, Gov. Mark Dayton has officially declared the 7th of June as “Prince Day” in the state of Minnesota.

The Gov encourages all to wear purple to honor the ‘Purple Reign’ vocalist. You can read the proclamation below.

This is sure to make the #PurpleArmy happy!

Over the weekend, Spike Lee and Sway Calloway hosted a dance party in Brooklyn to honor the ‘Purple One’ and it was quite the experience with non-stop partying for six hours.

Just wanna relive this day forever #purplepeopleparty #princebornday #princepartybk #heavenisaprincepartyinbrooklyn
