President Obama revealed that he gives Jay-Z and Beyoncé parenting advice in a radio interview with Cleveland’s Z107.9, and generally spoke highly of them.

“I’ve gotten to know these guys over the last several years. They’re good people. They really are down-to-earth folks. And we talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends,” Obama told the radio station. He added that he makes sure that Jay-Z pitches in with taking care of Blue Ivy.

“I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyoncé and the mother-in-law.”

In other news, Jay-Z appeared in a new campaign video for Obama last Tuesday. In the ad, which includes excerpts from the Made in America Festival, the rapper declares that Obama “is the representation that the hope of an American dream still exists.”
