Pharrell Inks Book Deal

There is no creative vice too big for Pharrell Williams.

Though the singer-songwriter-producer has been in the game for years, 2014 was one of the most notable as one ‘Happy’ song took Williams to generational heights. Now the song, originally recorded for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, has landed the 10-time Grammy Award winner a deal to release a series of children’s books via Putnam Books for Youth Readers.

Inspired by and titled after the song, “Happy” the book will feature photographs of children from around the world demonstrating and celebrating what it means to be happy, reports Billboard.

The publishing date is set for Sept.22 with 250,000 copies anticipated for its first printing.
