Paris Jackson was not playing when she said she wanted to be an actress; she just landed a role in a HUGE film!

Paris Jackson is on her way to being a bonafide movie star with her first film role. The 19-year old will be starring in an untitled dark comedy about a mild-mannered American businessman named Harold Soyinka who crosses the line from citizen to criminal. Though the film does not yet have a title, it sure has some huge names attached to it. David Oyelowo will lead the cast as Harold with Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron, Yul Vazquez, Thandie Newton and Sharlto Copley also playing major characters.

Directed by Nash Edgerton, Jackson will star as Nelly. Though we don’t know much else about her role yet, we do know that Nelly is described as an “edgy 20-year old”. The daughter of the late Michael Jackson made her acting debut on FOX’s Star last year. However, this new project puts her on a whole new level in the entertainment business.

With the cast all in order, we can only assume that filming for the movie will begin in the near future. With Amazon backing it, it might even be an award contender or at the very least a critics’ fav.

We’re just happy that Paris Jackson is doing amazing and reaching for her dreams. Now that we know this isn’t the project she was seen filming with Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobbie Brown, this might not be the only film we’ll see Ms. Jackson in over the next few years.
