Yes, you read that correctly. The famed word of the day is not a word at all. It’s a symbol of expression, and it’s the “face with tears of joy” one to be exact.
According to the website, the brand partnered with leading mobile technology business SwiftKey to explore frequency and usage statistics for some of the most popular emoji across the world, and was chosen because it was the most used emoji globally in 2015.”
