Role Call: Mariah Carey & More Land New Gigs

A Meyers Christmas is the holiday movie to watch for next year thanks to a star-studded cast that now includes Omar Epps.

The actor is joining Gabrielle Union, Mo’Nique, Kimberly Elise and Danny Glover for a film about a family who is forced to reunite after the death of a loved one.

Written by David E. Talbert and produced by Will Packer, the project is set for a November 2016 release.

Mariah Carey is teaming up with a group of A-listers as well. She’ll be voicing a character in The Lego Batman Movie, the sequel to The Lego Movie. 

Playing the mayor of a crime-ridden town, the songstress will be in the studio with the likes of Rosario Dawson and Will Arnett.

She’s landed a role in A&E’s Murder Town, a series about a prosecutor who has become Delaware’s first African-American District Attorney.

Not only is the actress portraying the leading lady, she’s executive producing the show as well.
