Obama, Chris Rock Say Goodbye to Letterman

Last night, Late Show host, David Letterman ended his 33-year run.

Instead of a sad farewell, the iconic TV host shared some pivotal highlights with featured celebrity guests including Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey and Jim Carrey.

Among these guests was President Obama, who opened the show with a hilarious message.

“Our long national nightmare is over — Letterman is retiring,” President Obama said.

Chris Rock had a witty farewell comment for Letterman as well. Rock participated in the final Top 10 List, “Top 10 Things I’ve Always Wanted to Say to Dave.”

After Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Murray, Barbara Walters and others gave their share of comments, Rock added, “I’m just glad your show is being given to another white guy!” Letterman laughed and said, “You know I had nothing to do with that.”

Stephen Colbert will be taking over for David Letterman in the fall but there is no doubt that Letterman will remain a legend.
