NWA Biopic Coming Straight to TV!

This is good news. For those who opt to skip the long lines or love the N.W.A. flick, Straight Outta Compton that tapped out box offices over the weekend grossing $60 million, the screen gem is on its way to the small screen.

FX won the bidding rights to air the two-hour long biopic on their network, with commercials. According to Deadline, this is becoming a successful trend for the network. Over the past two years, the cable platform retained the rights to films such as Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Minions, and Furious 7, to name a few.

As for the cast of Straight Outta Compton, this will propel their careers and further serve as a prominent moment in their entertainment journey; especially for big screen newcomer Marlon Yates, Jr. and Jason Mitchell, who scored a “breakout” role by portraying Eazy E in the film.

Congratulations to the entire cast!
