Nicole Ari Parker Lands New Gig

Nicole Ari Parker is headed back to the small screen later this summer for a recurring role in FOX’s television program Rosewood.

Known for her roles in the Showtime series Soul Food and TNT’s Murder in the First, the actress will share the camera lens with Morris Chestnut, who stars in the drama.

The show follows Chestnut’s character Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a private pathologist, who is in high demand to help solve some of the most challenging crime cases in Miami.

Parker portrays his new girlfriend Kat Crawford, a psychologist that specializes in PTSD.

The 44-year-old is currently co-hosting a daytime talk show with her husband Boris Kodjoe, but be sure to catch her in Rosewood when it debuts Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. EST. It airs right before the season 2 premiere of Empire.
