Nick Cannon is a College Freshman

Nick Cannon is making headlines once again and proving that elevation is an ever-evolving process.

The media mogul and multi-business entrepreneur is now a student at Howard University. Cannon, who graduated from Monte Vista High School, posted the news on his Instagram.

YOU KNOW!!!!! #HU2020 My First Day as a Freshman!!! Howard University Class of 2020

And while the applause rolled in so did a few funny memes commenting on Nick’s winter wear during the summer. (Maybe it’s an old picture?)

The irony in the situation is that Nick was head of the marching band in the film Drumline where he played a freshman at the fictional Atlanta AT&T University. So you know, it would be hilarious if he actually joined HU’s Bison band. That’s probably a negative though.

On another note, Nick has always been on top of his business. He stepped into the spotlight in the ’90s on the popular Nickelodeon sketch show, All That. From there, his acting career soared into films then eventually music, TV hosting, management and having his own Ncredible network.

He’s legit a business, man.

Keeping the encouragement of education going, Tyra Banks recently landed a teaching opportunity at Stanford University.

Beginning in May, M.B.A. students will learn personal branding tips from the former runway model and host of America’s Next Top Model.

Banks, who attended classes on the Harvard Business campus as part of an Owner/President Management extension program in 2012, will co-teach the business course with lecturer Allison D. Kluger. Adding an interactive aspect, the course will conclude with an “unconventional final project”, where students will use Facebook Live, television or YouTube to share their cultivated personal brand to the public.

Let’s keep this #BlackExcellence and intellect going!
