Nelly Cleared of Drug Charges

Rapper Nelly has finally spoke out about his arrest on drug charges.

While on tour, Nelly’s bus was pulled over because the vehicle did not display required federal transportation and fuel tax stickers. The rapper was then charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Turns out that neither the drugs or the guns found on the tour bus belonged to Nelly. A member of his entourage who was also riding on the bus has since come forward to claim responsibility for possessing the illegal items.

Nelly gave the following statement to TMZ:

“I feel the need to take responsibility for my choices in needing to be more aware of all the people I associate with and allow onto my property,” he said. “While my instinct of course, is to be accessible to my friends, fans and acquaintances, the last thing I would want to do is compromise the respect and admiration of my friends, family and fans.”

Scott Rosenblum, Nelly’s lawyer made a statement as well explaining that Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.

Hopefully, there will be no more trouble for Nelly.
