Nas Releases Black HSTRY Collection and it’s Lit!
EBONY’s 2016 Power 100 cover star Nas has always been about culture. As highlighted in the EBONY Power issue, the Queensbridge-bred emcee continues to take his star power and escalate to new heights with various tech and film investments.
In addition to the arts, as one who is keen to artistic expression, the veteran rapper’s HSTRY clothing brand is booming with cultural messages and pure flyness. The most recent collection is the Black HSTRY 2017 line that aims to give us all a sense of pride in such questionable times.
From his prominent career lacing tracks with intellectual bars and a dose of street to document life from his view and expand minds, Nas never does anything without purpose. With the Black HSTRY 2017 collection, proceeds will benefit the National Black Child Development Institute – an organization with a central focus on literacy, early childhood education and health awareness initiatives.
“We’re in a time now where we can easily get caught up focusing on the negative things going on in America,” the emcee said in a statement to the Huffington Post. “This collection is about turning things around and instilling positivity [and] celebrating being Black in a loud and fun way.”

Salute to “God’s Son”! Keep up the powerful work. *Fist up*
