New York City has a growing gem on its hands with Sweet Chick Chicken & Waffles located in LES and Willamsburg.

Now adding to the hype, owner John Seymour has teamed up with Queensbridge emcee, Nas to further expand the goods.

Nas and John “went up on Tuesday” while celebrating the restaurant’s one year anniversary. The partnership lends its mission to that of wanting to continue rooted ties between chicken & waffles and music.

“Music has played a huge part in defining who we are and with Nas on board, it’s a dream come true and we can truly move forward and introduce Sweet Chick to a bigger audience,” said Seymour in a release sent to JET.

Noted as being Joe’s “favorite rapper,” Nas will work closely with the restaurant owner in his pursuit of opening new locations across the west coast.
