With box office hits such as The Butler and The Best Man Holiday2013 was an awesome year in film. And it appears the momentum will continue in 2014. While Ben (Kevin Hart) thinks he’s the perfect match for his girlfriend, Angela (Tika Sumpter), that’s a theory he’ll have to prove to her brother James (Ice Cube). His future brother-in-law (well, hopefully) takes Ben on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta to find out what he’s really made of. Go see this action-comedy Jan. 17, and check out an excerpt from the cover story of our next issue, which hits stands Jan. 6.

Steve Rodgers aka Captain America is finally adjusting to life in Washington D.C., and then danger strikes. When the Winter Soldier attacks, Captain America must gather his superhero friends to save the world once again. Co-starring Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, don’t miss this movie when hits theaters Apr. 4.

think like a man too


When the couples take a weekend trip to Las Vegas for a wedding, each of their mishaps threaten stand in the way of the ceremony. The star-studded cast, including Michael Ealy, Taraji P. Henson, Meagan Good and Malco Romany, are all back for this romantic-comedy. The first one was so much fun to watch, that we can’t wait to see the second installment when it drops June 20.

The classic tale of a little orphan girl in search of family and love is heading to the big screen again. This time, 10-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis is taking the lead, and she’s sharing the spotlight with Jamie Foxx and Tracie Thoms. This film will be ready just in time for the next holiday season when it premieres Dec. 19.
