Michelle Obama is the fourth most powerful woman in the world, according to Forbes. The first lady ended up on Forbes’ annual “World’s Most Powerful Women” list.
The list features political leaders, philanthropists, celebrities and CEOs. The top 100 women are ranked based on money, their media presence, and impact over the last 12 months.
Mrs. O has been leading the cause against childhood obesity with her nationwide Let’s Move initiative, and she also joined the fight against gun violence early this year. Outside of politics, Michelle Obama made a funny appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and announced the Academy Award for best picture.
Other women on the list include German Chancellor Angela Merkel at number one, Melinda Gates at number two, Hillary Clinton, who came in fifth place, and celebrities likes Angelina Jolie (37), and Beyoncé (#17).
