Michael Jackson Played by Joseph Fiennes? Insult Much?

So, let’s get this straight.

Folks were mad as all hell when fictional characters ranging from Hermione of Harry Potter fame to Rue in Hunger Games were portrayed by Black actors. People vowed they wouldn’t see the latest Star Wars installment merely because a Black man was a Stormtrooper.

But you are telling us that it’s okay for Joseph Fiennes (below) to portray the clearly African American and iconic King of Pop, Michael Jackson in an upcoming comedy? Right now, when we’re still dealing with the fact that Black folk can’t get nominated for an Oscar to save their lives?

The Great Raid New York Premiere - ArrivalsFiennes, a White actor, playing Jackson, is not the only thing that have our pressure up.

The project is set to focus on an alleged road trip between Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando and Michael Jackson… after the 9/11 terror attacks – a massive and heart-rending moment in our society.

Umm..yeah still waiting on the part where any of this is funny. But, I digress.

Supposedly, Jackson invited his pals to his concert in Madison Square Garden. When flight plans are altered due to the attacks, the three amigos rented a whip determined to make the drive from New York back to Cali.

Elizabeth, Michael & Marlon is the tapped title of the half-hour shenanigan.

But let’s get back to the matter. Michael Jackson is Black. Period. It’s insulting for this dude to think it’s okay to make a mockery of our beloved, MJ. And we thought #OscarsSoWhite was a slap.  **couch faints**
