The divas have changed but the game remains the same.
You heard right! R&B Divas is back but this time they’ll be taking over Los Angeles with some new faces, new voices and of course, new drama! Check out what you can expect from the spinoff and it’s R&B Divas LA cast below. Then tune in to TV One on Wednesday July 10 for the premiere.
Kelly Price will be the “head diva in charge” this go-round, (the same role Faith Evans held down in the show’s Atlanta version.) From the looks of it, Price will be putting on her director’s hat on as she tries to orchestrate a musical that will feature the rest of her diva cast-mates.
We haven’t heard much from Lil Mo’ since her “Superwoman” days but if you ask her, that’s all about to change. Gearing up for a comeback, the singer/wife/mother of four uprooted her family and moved them to LA so that she could pick up where she left off in her music career.
Last we heard, Chante Moore had “a man at home” but these days, she’s single and ready to mingle. On R&B Divas, we’ll watch along as she steps back onto the dating scene, all while trying to re-launch her singing career and deal with a custody battle against ex-husband and former label mate Kenny Lattimore.
Claudette Ortiz, former lead singer of the group City High has come a long way since her “What Would You Do?” days. Since then, she’s moved to LA where she’s been busy being a full-time mom to her three kids, two of which were fathered by her group mate/ex-husband Ryan Toby. Her story should be interesting.
Talk about a throwback for real! Michel’le, a home grown California girl, made her claim to fame back in the 90s with songs like “Something in My Heart” and “Nicety.” Though the singer may be most remembered for her relationship with rapper/producer Dr.Dre and former marriage to Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, she is setting out to remind the world the she has talent as she gets back in the studio to record a new album.
Despite the very public breakup of both her groups En Vogue and Lucy Pearl, Dawn Robinson is out to show that it didn’t break her. Now Robinson is focused on her solo career and planning to start a family.
