Meagan Good Directs WSHH Original Series

Meagan Good is flexing her directorial and co-producer skills in a new World Star Hip Hop original series, All That Matters.

Trust, we already squinted our eyes when we heard “World Star” too but the project is set to a positive beat.

Penned by actress, Tamara Bass (Baby Boy), the 10-episode series follows Bass’ character, Joy, who is engaged to her college sweetie and celebrating with an engagement party.

The festivities come to a halt, however, when her sister drops her daughter off at Joy’s job with a note asking if she could take care of her.

Life is paused.

In an interview with VIBE, the ladies expressed their goal with this project is to show more family stories with Black and Brown people.

“I wanted to portray a relationship that even if you throw something that’s against the grain at this couple, it doesn’t mean that he has to run. It doesn’t mean that she has to run. It’s ‘how do we figure this out together because us being together isn’t going to change,” Bass explained.

As for why WSHH is their chosen platform? The ladies figured if the space is trying to change their direction and wanted to feature fresh content, “Why not us?”
