Marvel Recreates Hip-Hop Album Artwork

What happens when your favorite comic book characters and top hip-hop LPs collide? A one-of-a-kind visual comes to life.

Marvel has recreated some classic rap album covers comprised of popular superheroes as the main subjects.

The first set of images were released a few weeks ago and included revamps of The Chronic, Long.Live.A$AP and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

This time around, the entertainment company has made over Nas’ Illmatic to star Spiderman, The Roots’ Illadelph Halflife to feature the Avengers, and Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s Mecca and the Soul Brother to spotlight Hawkeye.

Pretty cool, right?!

The new variants are an attempt to increase racial diversity. And guess what? We can expect even more covers this fall.

We’re thinking Geto Boys’ We Can’t Be Stoppedor Joey Bada$$’ B4.Da.$$ should be redesigned next. Which albums would you like to see? Drop your suggestions in the comment section below.
