Lupita Nyong’o Heads to the Theater
Lupita Nyong’o is taking it back to her roots, because she’s headed to the theater for an upcoming off-Broadway production.
The 12 Years a Slave actress will play a Liberian woman attempting to end a civil war in a play titled Eclipsed.
Nyong’o, who graduated with a M.F.A. from Yale University, shared the news on her Instagram.
“I am getting back to the STAGE! This Fall, catch me at The Public Theater for my New York debut in Danai Gurira’s play, ECLIPSED, directed by Liesl Tommy,” she captioned the photo.
Premiering this September, the show goes up at New York’s Public Theater.
If you’re in the Big Apple this autumn, cop your tickets. The production will run Sept. 29 through Oct. 14.
