Listen: Mary J. Blige Releases New Music
Fans have been waiting and now Mary J. Blige gives a tease of what’s to come when she drops her new London-inspired album, The London Sessions.
The first single “Whole Damn Year,” written by singer/songwriter Emeli Sande, delivers classic MJB storytelling that details an ending relationship that took a year to get over.
Recording artist and writer Sam Smith, penned the Amy Winehouse-inspired second release, “Therapy.” On this track, we get the rugged Mary voice on a more subtle note. The lyrics still serve the grit that we enjoy from the soulful singer.
Take a listen to the new tracks and let us know if you’re feeling the musical direction Mary is taking this go round!
