Night Cap: Laurence Fishburne on ‘Colbert’

Laurence Fishburne made a trip to the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. But he didn’t just stop by to give folks the inside scoop on his hilarious show black-ish. He also weighed in on the Oscars controversy.

When asked to give his thoughts on the lack of diversity in Hollywood, he replied, “It’s gotten better. We still have a lot of work to do, but it’s gotten better.”

Unlike Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, he won’t be boycotting this year’s ceremony. Instead, he’ll be sticking around to watch Chris Rock take the stage as the host.

“It’s a very complicated thing. Personally, I just can’t wait to see how Chris Rock handles it…That’s what I’m looking forward to,” he said.

Check out the clip below to find out what else he had to say.
