
Grammy winning artist Kirk Franklin doesn’t believe in holding his tongue. The man who shook up the gospel music world with his hits “Stomp” and “Melodies from Heaven,” has been outspoken on a number of issues, including the need for the church to be more welcoming of others.
So when Franklin learned that controversial Kansas church Westboro Baptist planned to protest the funerals of the victims of the Orlando shooting with their signature brand of anti-LGBTQ hate, Franklin went off.

Franklin called out Westboro Baptist on Twitter, daring them to show up at one of his shows and calling them a “wack church.”
