Kirk Franklin Blasts Creflo Dollar

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin has a bone to pick with fellow “man of the cloth” Creflo Dollar. Recently, Reverend Dollar announced a campaign to raise money to purchase a Gulfstream G-650 jet valued at $65 million. Like many of us, Franklin is looking at Dollar all types of ways.

Franklin said the move reveals “a shortage of character” on Dollar’s part and that he is paying more attention to luxury than the people around the world who are suffering.

“When a pastor wants people to buy him a private plane while a missionary in Somalia bathes children with sores, that’s a shortage of character,” Franklin stated last week in a post. “When I camouflage my ‘greeds’ to look like ‘needs,’ that’s a shortage of character.”

A video message from Dollar’s ministry stated that he needed the new jet to “spread the gospel across the land.”

“As you can see, we’re still reaching. Flying. Thousands of miles each year to change lives.” the video’s announcer says.

The message wasn’t well-received. According to CBN News, Dollar has stopped seeking donations for the new vehicle.
