Kelly Rowland, Meagan Good Seek Love in New Film

When it comes to love, we all know there aren’t any solid rules. But while on the journey, it doesn’t hurt to get creative with ways to go about finding “the one.”

The ladies and fellas of Think Like a Man, tried Steve Harvey’s method with a few flaws and some hits, which led to re-birthed romance and nuptials in Think Like a Man Too.

Now, in a Lifetime original film, Megan Good, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and Kelle Stewart are testing out rules of the “10 Date.”

Written and directed by Nzinga Stewart, Love By the 10th Date, the romantic comedy centers on four friends searching for love while also balancing ambitious careers.

Gabby (Good), Nell (Stewart), Billie (Hilson) and Margot (Rowland) indulge in dating adventures alongside their careers at an upscale digital magazine in Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of their editor, Maureen ( Cat Deeley). They become inspired by the website’s relationship advice column and plan to take on the 10th date approach, which is deemed the Holy Grail in terms of commitment.

Hearts are on deck as Nell and Gabby dive right in. But there are a few hiccups in the road for Margot and Billie.

Billie’s marriage is on the verge of tanking and Margot falls for an uber successful and very controversial reggae artist she’s supposed to be interviewing. Can she avoid mixing business with pleasure? And what’s to come of Billie’s relationship?

All of this and more sets the stage for an entertaining two-hour premiere as the ladies discover what it is they truly desire.

Brandon T. Jackson also stars in the film as a creative director for the digital magazine, along with Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman who plays Nell’s bisexual boyfriend.

Megan Good and Ling Wong serve as producers of the SilverScreen Pictures Inc. production and Nzinga Stewart, Lisa Zupan and Wendy Finerman are executive producers.

Love By the 10th Date premieres January 28, 8pm ET/PT, followed by an one-hour cast chat on Lifetime.
