Katt Williams Charged With Battery In L.A.
Katt Williams is in trouble, yet again.
According to police, the 44-year-old comedian has been charged with battery after he allegedly got into an altercation with a woman in the parking lot of a Studio City hotel in July.
Although the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office charged Williams with a misdemeanor linked to incident, he is not required to appear at the arraignment, which is scheduled for Thursday.
LAPD Sargent Gary Chilingarian said police officers were called to the Sportsmen’s Lodge at Ventura Boulevard on Coldwater Canyon Avenue after a female employee reportedly tussled with Williams. The victim, who remains unidentified, suffered a minor injury during the incident.
Williams, who is currently free on $20,000 bond, has a long rap sheet, the LA Times reports.
Most recently, the Friday After Next star was charged in March after a viral video showed him getting into a fight with a 17-year-old in Georgia. In 2014, Williams was charged with stealing a photographer’s camera outside of a Beverly Hills Hotel alongside former Death Row music mogul, Suge Knight. If convicted of robbery, Williams could receive a maximum sentence of seven years in prison. Williams has entered a plea of not guilty.
