Katherine Jackson Appeals MJ Verdict
Just when you thought the Michael Jackson wrongful death case was over, Katherine Jackson has filed an appeal.
According to TMZ, the Jackson family matriarch is reportedly appealing the judge’s dismissal of two key defendants and AEG employees: CEO Randy Phillips and Paul Gongaware, who was responsible for promoting the “This Is It” tour.
Last month, a California panel cleared concert promoter AEG of negligence in the hiring of Conrad Murray, who was convicted of killing the King of Pop. The company denied any wrongdoing and insisted Michael Jackson hired Murray.
Katherine Jackson and the pop star’s three children sued AEG for $40 million. Jackson’s mom originally told reporters she was “OK” following the verdict, but it looks as though now she believes the dismissal may have influenced the verdict.
