Fans who were expecting to watch Frank Ocean belt out a few tunes at this weekend’s FYF Festival may be disappointed, because the star has called off the performance.
The organizers of the two-day event, taking place Aug. 22-23, have a pretty good backup plan though. It’s Kanye West.
Not a bad replacement, huh?
According to the FYF website, the “Novacane” singer “decided on his own terms to cancel his appearance.”
People from Ocean’s camp later released the statement below:
“We’re really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Frank Ocean is not going to be able to appear at FYF Festival as planned. Frank had really been looking forward to the performance and to seeing all of his fans, so it is with great regret that we announce this cancellation.”
Despite the crooner’s absence, the lineup is still pretty strong. Concertgoers can expect to see acts including D’Angelo and Solange at the Los Angeles affair.
