Kanye West Reaches ‘Bound 2’ Settlement

The price and trials of creativity can be a nagging tick as everything else in your life blossoms.

Over the course of two years, Kanye West has been entangled in an intellectual property lawsuit over an unauthorized sample used on “Bound 2” from his controversial album, Yeezus.

The lawsuit has finally reached an undisclosed settlement.

Former soul singer, Ricky Spicer of the The Ponderosa Twins Plus One, sued the artistic risk taker along with Roc-a-Fella Records, Universal Music Group and Island Def Jam Music Group in December 2013 over the successful single.

On the track, Spicer’s vocals can be heard throughout the chorus singing “Bound, bound/Bound to fall in love” – however, his voice was altered.

On May 11, paperwork was filed discontinuing Spicer’s suit.
