‘Ye is at it again!
Leaving Barney’s in a fashionable (or rather, controversial) way, Kanye West was spotted rocking a Confederate flag jacket. Recently the rapper went public about “taking back the Confederate flag” by incorporating it into his tour merchandise. His remarks on the appropriation, at the time:
“You know the Confederate flag represented slavery in a way,” the unrepentant entertainer explained. “So I made the song ‘New Slaves.’ I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It’s my flag now. Now what you going to do?”
Ummm….
Do you think that West was taking a stance on recent racial profiling accusations lobbed at Barneys or is he supporting a store that is actually working with his mentor and former tour-mate, Jay-Z?
Tell us what you make of his shenanigans in comments.
