After dabbling in everything from R&B to country, singer, songwriter and reality TV star Kandi Burress has forayed into yet another genre of music, releasing her first gospel track titled “Stay Prayed Up.” Kandi premiered the single, which features gospel singer Marvin Sapp, on the latest episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The song is essentially a testimonial as she sings about how even though she knows she’s a sinner, she has to stay “prayed up” to make it through. Even with that admission, many have criticized the star taking up gospel because of her sex toy line and online sex talk show, Kandi Koated Nights.

Kandi posted her response on her Facebook page:KANDI2
