Jussie Smollett Makes His ‘Underground’ Debut
Another week of the intense and hard-hitting series, Underground is upon us and things are firing up even more.
This week’s episode features a thrilling performance from Jussie Smollett. Titled “Firefly”, Smollett plays “Josey”, a wild-eyed runaway who, from the looks of the trailer, is out for blood and revenge with no remorse.
The episode also sees John and Elizabeth Hawkins come face to face with Josey in a volatile confrontation and test of wills. Rosalee (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Noah (Aldis Hodge) are now noticeably missing, which causes the Macons to enlist August Pullman to search for them. Amid the search and schemes, Ernestine tries her best to cope with her daughter’s absence and debates if she should join the others and run. Cato acts on a daring plan that has immediate repercussions on the plantation, while Pearly Mae makes an extremely difficult personal decision.
The journey and fight to freedom is on.
