Clip Tease: Good Girl’s Revolt Starring Joy Bryant

Amazon Studios is bringing another original series to its streaming service and this time, the content will take us back to 1969, where a cultural revolution was shaping the world.

The Good Girls Revolt, a 10-episode series based off of Lynn Povich’s book,”The Good Girls Revolt: How the Women of Newsweek Sued their Bosses and Changed the Workplace,” follows a group of young women researchers employed by News of the Week who asked to be treated fairly in the workplace.

Led by Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Delegate to the U.S. Congress in D.C., the women spark convulsive changes in relation to marriages, careers, love lives and friendship. The series serves as a narrative account of the landmark sexual discrimination lawsuit.

Joy Bryant plays Congresswoman Holmes Norton and the two shared the significant story on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert, Monday night. Watch it below.

The Good Girls Revolt will be available on Amazon Prime video on Oct. 28
