‘OooohYeah’ Jodeci Biopic Up Next?

They were the original bad boys of R&B, with sensual lyrics about love and longing crooned over hard beats. Back in the ’90s, Jodeci had an edge that rocked well with the ladies and the fellas, and their sound has continued to inspire many artists like Drake and Bryson Tiller today.

K-Ci, JoJo, Dalvin and DeVante sung about love the way many women craved, and their street presence made it cool for dudes to vibe out and get romantic, too.

But the story behind the scenes is a whole different tale that has yet to be fully uncovered. Following the group’s split, K-Ci and JoJo went on to become a chart-topping duo, and even appeared on a short-lived TVOne reality show, K-Ci & JoJo…Come Clean. As a foursome, the fellas reunited last year and dropped The Past, The Present, and The Future project, but not much else has been seen or heard from the group who brought us classics like “Forever My Lady” and “Stay.”

That could all change soon, though.

Lately, biopics about R&B groups and artists have become jackpots for networks. Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Miki Howard, and now New Edition have gotten the film treatment. Tupac’s life will also take center stage in the upcoming All Eyez On Me film, and Jodeci might just be next.

VH1 is rumored to be contemplating a mini-series based on the group, and we hope it’s true.

Mr. Dalvin hinted toward the possibility in June.

So JET Fam, should the Jodeci story get a green light for production?
