JET Gets a Shout Out in ‘Anchorman 2’ [Trailer]

The first official trailer for Anchorman 2 is here! The sequel to the 2004 Will Ferrell comedy is Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, and it looks like the crew is stepping into the 80s.

Will Ferrell reprises his role as Ron Burgundy while Paul Rudd (Brian Fantana), Steve Carell (Brick Tamland), and David Koechner (Champ Kind) will also return. Christina Applegate will be making an appearance as Veronica Corningstone, Burgundy’s girlfriend from the first flick. Kristen Wiig joins the cast as Brick’s dizzy crush, and actress Meagan Good is also in the film, potentially as Ron’s love interest.

Speaking of Meagan Good, there’s an awkward scene in the mix where Ron is eating dinner with the Good character’s family and says, “I don’t read JET Magazine, or Jheri Curl Daily.”

The oblivious Burgundy later adds, “I’m breaking down the barriers of race by assimilation. And on that note which one of you convicts with the longest record can pass me the mashed potatoes?”

We know that won’t go over well but thanks for the shout out! Check out the trailer:

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set to hit theaters Christmas 2013.
