
If you think Jay’z Tidal is only about music, think again. The mogul is expanding his brand to include original programming, and he’s beginning with the launch of a new comedy series.
The company has just added two new shows to its lineup. One is titled No Small Talk, a profile on up-and-coming comedians that will debut on Nov. 3.
Show number two is Money & Violence, which is in its second season. It is a Brooklyn-based, street life drama set to premiere fresh episodes in January.
Tim Riley, the business’ senior VP artist and label relations, says the move is a natural next step as executives want Tidal “to be the best experience they can have.”
