Jay-Z Makes Another Major Move
It’s not very often that you’ll get a social media message from mega businessman Jay-Z. So when he exercises those 140 characters or less, you know a change is-a-coming and something major is underway!
The above message is the prelude to Mr. Carter’s new music streaming service, Tidal, which makes its U.S. launch later today. The high-definition service takeover will offer first dibs on new music from some of the most in-demand artists for a limited time before being picked up by streaming rivals such as Spotify, Pandora and Deezer.
Jay-Z is scheduled to make a “special announcement” on Monday Mar. 30 at 5p.m. Eastern Time. He is set to confirm the first major artists to stream music exclusively with Tidal, reports Techcrunch.com.
If you stroll along your social media timelines and see a teal-colored profile image, chances are these artists are on board. So far, Beyoncé, Kanye, Rihanna, Daft Punk and few others have converted.
