Jay-Z Addresses Critics With “Open Letter”

Jay-Z and Beyonce are definitely not here for anyone’s criticism. First, Beyonce dropped “Bow Down” and now it’s Jay’s turn to get some frustrations off his chest. He tapped Timbaland and Swizz Beatz to help him whip up  a track entitled “Open Letter.” It’s a response to the controversy around his and Beyonce’s trip to Cuba and his ownership in the Brooklyn Nets.

“Politicians never did sh-t for me / except lie to me, distort history,” Hov raps. “They wanna give me jail time and a fine — Fine, let me commit a real crime,” he says, referencing conservative politician’s efforts to investigate his trip to Cuba, which was approved by the U.S. Treasury. “Obama said, ‘Chill you’re going to get me impeached’ / You don’t need this sh-t anyway, chill with me on the beach.”
