Jay-Z Acquires ‘Ace of Spades’ Luxury Champagne

Cheers and bottles up!

Right off the heels of Mrs. Carter’s announced partnership with TopShop, Mr. Carter just locked a deal with high-end bubbly brand, Armand de Brignac, better known its popular nickname, “Ace of Spades.”

The New York based brand, Sovereign Brands, confirmed that it sold its interest in Armand de Brignac to an undisclosed company led by rapper and business mogul, Jay-Z.

Global director of brand communications for Sovereign noted in an emailed statement, “He became interested in the brand and made us an offer we simply couldn’t refuse.”

Whoa dere! Inquiring minds want so bad to know what that deal looks like, but of course, the numbers and deal specifics have yet to be released.

Jay’s tie to the champagne dates back to 2006, when the gold bottle made an appearance in his ‘Show Me What You Got’ video. He and his wife also featured a custom-designed 18 foot tall bottle when they hosted a fundraiser for President Obama in 2012 at his 40/40 nightclub, another good investment.

“Ace of Spades” starts at $300 a bottle. A 30-liter bottle can sell for over $200,000.

The Carters stay adding stacks to their bank accounts and valuable notches to their brands.

Jay, never lied: He’s a Business…man.
