J. Cole Goes ‘Off The Grid’

In the five-minute film Off The Grid, Dreamville artist J. Cole quiets the demands of his career and escapes to Jamaica, a space where he can take in life, culture, heritage and tap into artistry.

On his venture, where his music provides a perfectly aligned backdrop, the artist is shown recording in Bob Marley’s studio, creating on the piano and plucking the strings of a guitar while sharing a personal story.

The project comes as part of Cole’s recent partnering with Bally and their collaborative boot. The J. Cole-inspired boot collection snags a few cameo spots in the short.
