Hip-Hop Acts Earn Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Noms
Standing as the only hip-hop artist to gather nominations, American rapper LL Cool J and gangster rap pioneers N.W.A. were nominated Wednesday to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The disco band Chic also received its second consecutive nomination.
In order to be eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which has a museum in Cleveland, all of the candidates must have release their debut album or single at least 25 years before 2012. Afterward, fans are allowed to vote for their favorite artists and groups at rockhall.com/vote.
Fans have until December 10 to pick their favorites and inductees are announced shortly after closing with the help of some of the 600 members of the foundation also selecting artists.
Best of luck, everyone!
