Trailer: Taraji P. Henson Stars in ‘Hidden Figures’

It’s an untold story, but an important one.

Now, come January, Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monáe and Octavia Spencer will bring the true story of mathematicians and scientists Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson to the big screen.

In the highly anticipated film, Hidden Figures, the trio star as the first African-American women who worked for NASA during its formative years. Their impact and work was crucial to the success of the agency’s Mercury and Apollo missions.

The film also marks the first time the story centers on race and the contributions of African-Americans in space.

Twentieth Century Fox released the first trailer, and from the looks of it, Hidden Figures will bring knowledge, wit and an inspirational tone.

Take a peek into the film below.

And can we clap it up for Ms. Monae’s acting chops, too?!

Hidden Figures hits theaters January 13, 2017.
